To put it simply, we believe the Bible. Below you can find a few of our core beliefs. If you would like to know more, please send us a message using the form below.
We believe the entire Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inspired, inerrant, infallible and preserved. We believe that we possess God's perfect Word in English for us today. (II Tim.3:16; II Pet.1:20-21; Psalm 12:6-7)
We believe all men are born with an inherited sin nature from our common ancestor, Adam. Because of our sin nature, man is a sinner by choice, and he is totally incapable of reforming himself or ceasing from his sin by his own power. We believe the only hope of deliverance for man is a total change of mind concerning his sinful condition, inability to change it, and turning to Jesus Christ as their only Savior. (Jn. 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; I Pet. 1:18-19; Gen. 1:26-27; Rom 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph 2:1-3; 4:17-19)
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each co-eternal in Being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; II Cor 13:14; John 14:10, 26)
(1) We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that he might reveal God and redeem sinful men. (Isa. 7:14; 9;6; Luke 1:35; John1:1-2, 14; II Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4-5; Phil. 2:5-8)
(2) We believe the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a vicarious, representative, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. (Acts 2:18-36; Rom.3:24-25; I Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7; I Pet. 1:3-5)
(3) We believe the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Advocate, Representative, and Intercessor. (Acts 1:9-10; Heb. 9:24; 7:25; Rom. 8:34; I Jn. 2:1-2)
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Divine Trinity, equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature. We believe the Holy Spirit has always been involved in the affairs of mankind; however, we believe He has a special ministry that began at Pentecost and will continue until the rapture. This ministry includes reproving the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit was also sent to regenerate, sanctify, seal, and fill all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. (Jn.16:8-11; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 12:12,14; II Cor. 3:6; Eph. 1:13-14; I John 5:7; Ph. 1:17- 18; 5:18; I John 2:20, 27)
The Church is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the Scriptures and has the responsibility to fulfill the Lord’s great commission. We assemble together for worship, fellowship, service and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. ( (Mt 28:18-20; Luke 24:46-47; Mark 16:15; Acts 2:41, I Cor.11:24-26)
We believe that a person is saved by God’s power, and therefore eternally kept by His power and remaining secure in Christ forever. (Jn.6:37-40; 10:27-30; Rom. 8:1, 38-39; I Cor. 1:4-8; I Pet. 1:4-5)
